NextWave 2.0 was a game-changer. Tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and creators from across Southwest Nigeria came together to connect, learn, and grow in what became one of the most electric events we've ever organized.
The event featured insightful keynote speeches, panel discussions, tech demos, and interactive VR/AR experiences — all exploring topics shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship.
Our stage featured 15 incredible voices across five major themes:
Building Scalable Tech Startups Insights into scaling from idea to product — the frameworks, the failures, and the breakthroughs that define Africa's fastest-growing startups.
The Future of Tech & Innovation in Africa Exploring emerging trends in AI, fintech, and beyond. Where is Africa's tech industry headed, and how do young developers position themselves now?
Product Design & UX Best Practices Mastering design that drives user engagement — from wireframe to launch. How the best African products are built from the user back.
Content Creation & Personal Branding How to build a powerful brand in the digital age — whether you're a developer, entrepreneur, or creator.
Is the Metaverse Dead? An honest conversation about the evolving future of VR/AR and immersive technology. Where did the hype go, and what comes next?
A heartfelt thank you to every voice that made NextWave 2.0 what it was:
Chimgozirim Nwokoma · Temi' Adelana · Benjamin Adekoya · Mosopefoluwa Ayodele · Afolabi Sokeye · Ekene Chris-Oparah · Adedoyin Samuel · Habib D. Kowontan · Johnbosco Okoye · Fasasi Tariq — and many others who shared their stories, insights, and expertise.
You helped create an unforgettable experience for every student in that room.
This event wouldn't have been possible without the help and supervision of our HOD Wilson Sakpere, PhD and the support of Lead City University. Their belief in NextWave's vision gave us the platform to make it real.
We're already thinking about NextWave 3.0 and how to make it even bigger. The mission stays the same: put the tools, ideas, and networks that change careers into the hands of young Nigerians.
Until then — keep building. See you at NextWave 3.0.
