What happens when you give 110 people who've never built software before access to AI tools and 10 days?

They build 50+ working apps. On smartphones.

The Partnership

A massive thank you to the team at Lovable for supporting our first AI Builder Bootcamp with over $2,500 in platform credits. That support made something truly special possible.

What Happened

Over 10 days, we worked with 110 NYSC corps members in Abia State, Nigeria — most of whom had no technical background and no laptops.

Everything was done entirely on smartphones.

By the end of the programme, these new builders had created 50+ functional apps — including:

• Zombie survival games
• Logistics tools
• AI assistants
• Small business platforms

All built simply by prompting and experimenting with AI.

The NYSC SAED Initiative

This programme was hosted under the NYSC SAED initiative. Special appreciation goes to the NYSC Abia State Director for supporting the programme and believing in the vision of giving young Nigerians practical exposure to AI and product building.

What Stood Out

What stood out most wasn't just the apps.

It was watching participants go from _"I've never built anything before"_ to teaching each other how to ship features within days — entirely on their mobile phones.

When the barrier to entry disappears, creativity moves fast.

What's Next

The next bootcamp is planned for July with an ambitious goal: over 1,000 participants learning to build with AI.

We're continuing this journey together with Lovable as we expand the community of AI builders across Africa.
